The University Bookstore is located at the University Centre. As well as providing books for academic studies it is a general bookstore open for everyone. The Bookstore café and the Student Co-up are located with in the Bookstore.

Háma offers a wide range of food and beverages at a low price. Háma is located in Háskólatorg, Stakkahlíð, Eirberg, Læknagarður, Askja, Oddi, Þjóðarbókhlaðan, Tæknigarður and Háskólabíó. Háma Salad Bar in located in Háskólatorg.

The Student Cellar is a restaurant and café at Háskólatorg. It is a venue for concerts, meetings and all kinds of student activities. The student cellar is open every day of the week from morning to night.

Student housing

Icelandic Student Servces runs three preschools for children aged 6 months to six years old. They are located at the student housing area on campus. The preschools all work according to the same curriculum, HighScope.
